Tour of the Church (Part 5)
As we continue down the South aisle, we pass the confessionals. As Catholics, we are aware that we are called to a higher standard of life than we actually achieve, and here we are able to receive forgiveness for our failings. But this forgiveness also gives us the strength to fight against sin, and so to live a better life. We are all called to take our lives seriously, both spiritual and in every other sense. We all need to examine our conscience; to measure our lives against the pattern given by Jesus himself, and if we need forgiveness, to seek it and to be fully reconciled with Jesus and with his Church.
