Tour of the Church (Part 14)

PreviousNext

Moving across the church we come to the font. As can be read in the history of the church, it has been moved several times. It stands near the side door of the church, symbolising the reality that Baptism is the entry into the Church. It is made of stone, reminding us that baptism is entering the tomb with Christ, so that we may rise with him (Romans 6:4). Here many faithful Christians have begun their life with Christ – pray for them, and for yourself that you may fulfill the life the God wishes for you.
