Organ 20
The sound of the organ is produced by air under pressure passing through tuned pipes. Clearly, the first part of the process is the generating the air pressure, and Bob the Blower can do this! (Yes it can!) This blower is not the original one from Grazeley, but ours from St Gregory’s, and is in better condition. It is mounted in a soundproof box, because the only sound wanted from the organ is the air passing through the pipes, not being blown.
The motor and the impeller are housing are very heavy – it had to be lowered down from the old platform, and raised up again onto the new one.
