How to get to St Gregory’s
We are located at the junction of Park Avenue North and Birchfield Road East in the Abington district of Northampton. The Northamptonshire County Cricket ground is very close. If you have SatNav, it may be useful to know that the postcode is NN3 2HS.
If you are approaching via the M1, leave at junction 15, and head towards Northampton along the dual carriageway. You will pass turnings to Collingtree, to Wootton, to the town centre and ring-road, and to Brackmills industrial area. Do not take any of these turnings, but remain on the dual carriageway. The next junction after Brackmills is signposted to Bedford, and also to Abington. Take this exit from the dual carraigeway, and take the middle lane in the slip road. At the roundabout, take the second exit towards Abington. Follow this road past thespeed camera(!) up the hill, across the first set of lights, and along past the park until you come to the big roundabout where the road to Wellingborough bears off to the right. Continue in the same direction, signposted towards Spinney Hill, and you are then on Park Avenue North. St Gregory’s is at the first junction on the right.
If you are approaching from the North down the A1, leave the A1 at the junction with the A43 near Stamford, and follow this road to Northampton. Continue towards the town centre until you see the big “Morrison’s” supermarket on the right. There is a roundabout there; bear left onto Park Avenue North, and St Gregory’s is on the left about half a mile down this road.
If you are coming by public transport, leave from Northgate Bus Station. The bus service number 16 stops near the Church.
